Olympus Australia are set to announce three new micro 4/3rds cameras. They are likely to be the EP-3, EP-L3 and a new a new type of camera the EP-M1.
This new camera is apparently the micro micro 4/3rds The new model, the Olympus PEN Mini is the same size as the XZ-1 although being slightly larger in width, and it’s supposed to bring about new features such as a touch screen display, a brand new imaging engine and sensor and improved circuitry that should deliver reduced power consumption and increased battery life.
Olympus has been working hard on improving the auto focus system on the pen cameras. Olympus are stating that the autofocus is faster than the Panasonic GH2 AF and many DSLR cameras out in the market today which is a rather bold and impressive statement.
