Nikon updates Green Light Of Death

Hot on the heels of Canon announcing 3 new error codes, Nikon is announcing their own error updates.

Following on from the success of Nikons unique BGLOD (Blinking Green Light Of Death), Nikon Corp will be announcing a new error delivery method.

“We have listened carefully to our customers. We introduced the world’s first 18-165mm f8 double optical image stablised lens with Nintendo Wii compatiblilty, now we’re bring a new first to the camera world.”

The old BGLOD has been updated. The photographer now have the option of selecting 5 different colours. Grape, Night Blue, Wasabi Green, Hot Pink and Warm Silver. Additionally, there is now an exciting ‘Disco’ mode where all the lights cycle when things go really shit. You’ll never be in doubt that your camera is stuffed again.

If that’s not enough, errors will be accompanied with polyphonic error tones which can be upgraded via the firmware.”

The default polyphonic error tones include (but not limited to):

User error: Baby did a bad bad thing – Chris Issak
Unknown user error: Something Stupid – Robbie Williams
Shutter speed to low: Optimistic – Radiohead
Multiple errors: Panic! At the Disco
Camera constantly encountering problems Stairway to Heaven – Led Zepplin

“We believe that with these new lights it will take Canon a couple of years to catch up to our error technology.” said CEO of Nikon’s Touchy Feely department. “Corn dogs for everyone!”
