- Sony have a Sony DSC-HX5V
with 10.2MP CMOS Camera with 10x (28 – 280) Wide Angle Zoom and 3.0 inch LCD.
- Nikon have their own 10x zoom compact in theNikon Coolpix S8000
. The Nikon has a 14MP sensor though.
- Not to be outdone, Ricoh has updated the excellent CX2. The Ricoh CX3
features are below:

- F3.5-5.6, 10.7X optical zoom lens, equivalent to 28 – 300
- Sensor-shift image stabilization
- 3-inch LCD display with 920,000 pixels

- Nikon have announced the Ultra-Wide 16-35mm f/4 VR and Ultra-Fast 24mm f/1.4 Lenses
- Imaging resources has a review of the Nikon D300S.
- NASA has released some images taken with a Nikon D2x and an 800mm lens take from the International Space Station.
- Nikon have released an update to the Nikon Message Center.
- Canon have announced the release of the Canon EOS 550D
. An 18MP beast.
